Habanero Peppers Pack a Punch! (Day 21)

We tried sweet potatoes last night. I peeled them...what a chore! Then we boiled them for 20 minutes. After straining, we added coconut milk and maple syrup and then blended it all up with a hand mixer. They were tasty. We had our mashed sweet potatoes with a basic chicken stir fry. Well, basic except for one ingredient: habanero pepper. I only put about a half of a pepper in with the stir fry. It was a nice touch - hot and spicy.

And so, tonight....we made curry chicken over brown rice. We were feeling confident about our last meal, so we added a whole habanero pepper to the mix. Yikes! It was hot. The kind of hot that makes a sweat break out on your forehead and your nose run. I think, from now on, we'll use our habanero peppers with care!! Haha.
